Hero Nodes

Securing XR One

Hero Nodes secure the XR One blockchain by challenging invalid blocks of transactions. These nodes ensure the integrity and efficiency of the blockchain's operational framework. The benefits for operators of Hero Nodes include:

  1. Linear distribution: Node operators are rewarded for running their node as a portion of the pool of tokens available for each epoch. 15% of the token supply is set aside for Hero Node operators

  2. Transaction Fees: Node operators earn further rewards through transaction fees collected from the games and other applications running on the network. This stream of tokens grows as the network's activity grows.

  3. Network Security Role: By participating in the validation process, node operators contribute directly to the network's security, helping to prevent fraud and ensure the reliability of transaction records.

  4. Reputation and Influence: Operating a Hero Node can enhance an operator's reputation within the XR One ecosystem, potentially leading to governance rights or a say in future developments and protocol updates.

  5. Airdrops: Hero Node holders get constant airdrops from projects launching on XR One.

  6. Governance: Hero Nodes holders will be able to govern the XR One chain and have a say in the future of the network.

Enhancing XR One

As games are onboarded to XR One, Hero Nodes will be enhanced to support the network participants by providing access to compute for AI workloads and GPU processing. The future benefits for Hero Node operators include:

  1. Demand-Driven Rewards: Operators are rewarded based on the computational demands placed on the compute hardware, which means earnings can scale with resource usage. This demand-driven model incentivises the maintenance of high-performance hardware to support intensive gaming functions.

  2. Enhanced Gaming Experience: By providing essential services such as AI processing and advanced graphics rendering, these nodes improve the overall quality and accessibility of games hosted on XR One. This not only benefits the players but also enhances the attractiveness of the platform, potentially driving more users and developers to the ecosystem.

  3. Support for Advanced Features: The added computational power provided enables advanced gaming features that might not otherwise be feasible, such as complex AI behaviours and high-end graphics. This supports more sophisticated games with on-chain interactions to appeal to a wider audience.
