Multi-Party Computation

PreviousAccount AbstractionNextBridge

Last updated 9 months ago

XR One leverages multi-party computation (MPC) to cryptographically secure and share ownership of XR One Accounts. MPC prevents single points of failure in account ownership, by breaking up private keys into encrypted shares divided between:

  • The player

  • Saltwater.Labs

  • - our partners at Horizon Labs.

MPC advantages available to XR One Accounts include:

  • Account recovery, if the player loses access

  • Permissioned signing on behalf of the player, allowing for web2 user experiences

  • Server-side signing, ensuring that in-game transactions are authoritatively submitted by the game
