# Data Availability Committee (DAC)

XR One relies on an external Data Availability Committee (DAC) to store data and provide it on-demand instead of using Arbitrum One as the Data Availability (DA) layer. This significantly reduces transaction costs on XR One.

The members of XR One's DAC run a Data Availability Server (DAS) to handle data storage and retrieval.

Further details on the expansion of XR One's DAC are coming soon.
